International Mother Language Day
On the occasion of International Mother Language Day on February 23, 2026, the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism organized a lecture by Dr. Sunil Deodhar on the topic "Bhasha Sahodari Hindi" (Hindi: The Sister Language). Additionally, the 35th issue (marking the Silver Jubilee year) of the Institute's in-house magazine, 'Spandan', was released.
The Indian Institute of Geomagnetism received the Second Prize for 'Outstanding In-house Magazine' in the Central Government Offices category for the year 2025-26 from the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Navi Mumbai.

Prof. Satyavir Singh, Dr. Priyeshu Srivastava, and Dr. Ganesh Kalghuge accepted the award on behalf of the Institute.

The Indian Institute of Geomagnetism was awarded the First Prize for the 'Best In-house Magazine' (in the Central Government Offices category) for the year 2022-23 by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Navi Mumbai, during its 38th meeting. On behalf of the Institute, Prof. S. Gurubaran (Director-in-Charge) and Dr. Priyeshu Srivastava (Reader) received the award from Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, Director (Operations & Commercial), Konkan Railway.

Prof. Satyavir Singh, Prof. Amar Kakad, and Mr. Jitendra Kamra received the award on behalf of the Institute from Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of Konkan Railway.
